Mobile Marketing Ideas for Travel Agents

As quickly as the holiday season came upon us, it is now coming to a fast close.  In the next few weeks, many consumers will be switching gears from the holidays, to planning their winter vacation. If you’re a Travel Agent, or are in the Travel Industry, now is the time to start planning your marketing efforts  for vacation season. There are numerous marketing opportunities for travel agents with mobile technology. Here are a few mobile marketing ideas for travel agents, to help get you started:

Run a SMS Campaign-Start by building a strong opt-in list. An easy way to do this would be to place copy on your website, business card, or fliers, that offers travel tips or last minute deals via text. Consumers sign up to receive this useful information/deals from you, and in exchange, they agree to receive promotional texts from you as well. You can then use SMS marketing to run a number of promotions. For instance, you could  use texting to announce an exclusive, limited time travel package; you could have a sweepstakes where the first X amount of users to text X code receive one free night at a hotel of their choice. Once you have a solid opt-in list, the opportunities are endless.

Build a loyal customer base- Mobile Marketing allows you to build meaningful relationships with your clients. Send out surveys on a certain travel package, or have customers take a poll on the most sought after destination this year. Not only will asking these kinds of questions provide you with important insight into client needs, but you will also be establishing a conversation with your customers- rather than the traditional, one way marketing messages of the past.

Create a Mobile Website-Since at some point, your clients will be in travel mode, having a mobile site they can refer back to would be key. In fact, a great idea for Travel Agents would be hosting a Mobile Directory. Your Mobile Directory could incorporate mobile sites for restaurants, shops, hotels, and other places of interest that are in the area of your travel packages. This would be an excellent service for your clients, who may be unsure of where to go/sights to see on vacation. A mobile directory could also be a source of income, as members pay you a certain amount per month to participate in your Directory. Mowbi Mobile Directory is an exciting mobile directory option that would be perfect for a Travel Agent who wants to make extra money, by simply offering a service their clients would appreciate.

Another great thing about mobile marketing is that response is 100% measurable. So if you’ll know right away if you’re sending out the right message to your clients. No matter which Mobile Marketing Idea for Travel Agents you choose, make sure to keep the content relevant to your clients, and make sure that you are learning from each campaign.

Why Use A White Label App?

Mobile Commerce is heating up and if you own or run a business, now is a great time to consider adding a White Label App to your marketing mix.

A White Label App allows you to publish an app that has all of the tools of a regular business platform, but is branded with your company logo. Essentially, with a white label app, consumers have no idea that they are using an application that isn’t directly from your business.

White Label Apps are a great way to have a fully branded app  with  control over creativity, content, and advertising. If you want to jump into mobile commerce, but you’re not ready for a full fledged mobile commerce site, consider going the while label app route. You’ll present your customers with a professional, branded mobile experience and there are so many opportunities for marketing and relationship building.

You can use your White Label App to run promotions or contests, where your brand is reinforced each time a customer enters and views your branded app. You can use your White Label App to conduct a poll, or survey. You can use your white label app to communicate with your customers. The possibilities are endless and getting started is easy.

Visit www.mowbi.com for strong White Label App tools that help make your mobile concept a reality. That’s www.Mowbi.com or call 1-800-985-9277. Or E-mail Bill@Mowbi.com.

Top 3 Money Making Mobile App Tips

In current times, there is a Mobile App for just about everything. As more consumers embrace mobile technology, it is becoming increasingly important for businesses to stay ahead of the curve with Mobile Apps. Here are 3 excellent tips for businesses on how to use mobile apps to increase sales and revenue.

Incorporate the use of existing mobile apps- One of the first ways that your business can use a mobile app to increase awareness, is by making a strong mobile presence on existing popular mobile applications. Twitter, Google Maps, and Yelp are just a few of the many popular mobile apps that your business can use to drive sales. By using a mobile app such as Google Maps, you’re giving your customers a valuable service, and doing yourself a smart favor by creating a solid mobile presence.

Use Blogging Apps- You can use a mobile app to host and promote your blog. This will allow you to keep your customers completely up to date, and also give you fresh, optimized mobile content. You can also customize your blog to mobile with last minute deal announcements, and location specific content.

Directories- A huge way to make a mobile app work for you is to develop a mobile directory. A mobile directory will allow you to gain revenue from your members, and also promote your own brand. As the popularity of mobile increases, consumers are turning to their mobile phones while on the move, in waves. Audiences use mobile directories to find goods and services that they need RIGHT NOW.  You can also gain a strong mobile presence by joining another mobile directory that is relevant to your business.

Visit www.Mowbi.com for cutting edge mobile apps that can help drive sales and increase revenue. Or call 800-985-9722. E-mail Bill@Mowbi.com.

You Need a Text Club

A text club is an opt-in  group of customers who receive promotional texts, reminder texts, and informational text from you. Text Clubs are a great form of mobile marketing, and it is absolutely a function that should be part of your mobile marketing mix.

Text Clubs are so great because they’re an opted-in list of customers who want to receive promotional texts from you. Text Clubs also present a great opportunity to build lasting relationships with a loyal customer base.

If your business is a retail store, you can put SMS codes with prompts to join your text club for special sales on signage throughout your establishment. Restaurants can take advantage of table top signage by placing table tents that have short code calls to action. You can also build your text club using social networking sites, like Facebook and Twitter.  Another idea for building your text club is via a text to win contest. In exchange for signing up to receive promotional texts from you, consumers join your text club in order to enter into a contest. Give something away that’s relevant to your business, and you’ll be on your way to building a strong, targeted text club.

Once you have a text club established, the opportunities for marketing and relationship building are endless. SMS Alerts are a great way to keep your customers up to date with product information, such as low inventory, or an exclusive new shipment. If you’re in the service industry, you can use your Text Club to send your customers alerts on when their next service from you is due. This would work well for a Hair Salon, Auto Mechanic, etc.

Another Text Club marketing idea is to hold a poll or survey. This can give you key insights on how your customers feel about your brand and/or industry. A poll can show you what products or services your customers think are key in your market. They can reveal what products/services your customers are happy with, along with things that they would like to see your company doing. Overall, when you use your Text Club to gain customer opinions, you’re engaging in a two way conversation with your audience, and building a strong and loyal customer base.

Visit www.mowbi.com for powerful Text Club tools for every budget. Or call 1-800-985-9277. E-mail Bill@mowbi.com or Jordan@mowbi.com.
